The PC fails to detect Action Replay DS and Code Manager software continually reports waiting for DS

Possible Reasons -

    update_screen.jpg

  1. Have you selected the Update button from the console`s touch screen when the Action Replay DS is set to its home screen? This puts the Action Replay DS to the update mode.

  2. Have you tried connecting the product directly to alternative known working USB port on your PC instead of on a USB hub?

  3. Is the Action Replay DS installed correctly? Within device manager, Action Replay DS should be listed under the USBIO-Controlled Devices section as NDS Link as shown below.

If Action Replay DS is listed within device manager under a section named Other Devices, you need to install drivers. Windows XP users, please use Section 4, and Windows Vista 32bit users please use Section 5.

View the Action Replay DS’s icon `NDS Link` within device manager and double-click the `NDS Link` icon to display the NDS Link properties screen.

action replay ds vista 64 bit
so if there are no drivers for my vista 64 bit, how can i update my action replay ds
A: You can manually enter codes into your Action Replay DS using the Nintendo DS console. To do this, please follow the steps below. If the code list that you wish to enter does not include a Game ID and there are no other codes for that game on your Action Replay, please follow these steps to find the Game ID before beginning the code entry process: · Turn on the Nintendo DS with the Action Replay inserted · At the Main Menu when you are instructed to “Insert Game Cart”, remove the Action Replay and insert the game. · On the top screen of the DS, the name of the game (or Unknown Game) will appear. · The number under the Game Name is the Game ID. Please write down the Game ID and reinsert the Action Replay DS. 1) From the Action Replay Main Menu, click on the Star Shaped icon on the bottom left of the screen. 2) “Add New Game” should appear at the top of the Game List on the upper screen of the DS. (If not, use the arrow keys to scroll to the top of the list and highlight “Add New Game” or scroll through to find the name of the game if it is already on your list) 3) With “Add New Game” highlighted (Note: If you are adding codes to a game that already exists on your Action Replay, choose the name of the game instead), click on the icon that looks like a Pencil 4) Enter the Name of the Game 5) Enter the Game ID (See above for instructions on how to find this) 6) On the next screen, highlight “Add New Code” and click on the Pencil Icon 7) Enter the name of the Codes (You can name it whatever you want) and select Next 8) Enter the code. You must enter all lines of the code in order for it to work. You do not need to worry about spaces or new lines, they will be inserted automatically. 9) Once you’ve entered the entire code, press next. 10) Follow Steps 6 – 9 for each additional code you wish to enter.

Can`t get the AR Code Manager to detect the AR DS on Vista
I installed the driver under the USB IO devices section, but still, I can`t get the Code Manager to detect my AR DS on my Windows Vista (32 bit on an HP laptop). The firmware is 1.54, and I bought it long time ago. Any help, please?
A: Unfortunately, some older versions of the DS Action Replay may contain hardware that is not compatible with Windows Vista. However, Vista compatible Action Replay hardware is now available, and is present in the Action Replay currently available from www.codejunkies.com, as well as many major retailers.

Action Replay on 64-Bit Windows Vista
Is Action Replay DS compatible With Windows Vista 64-Bit?
A: No. 64bit Vista is a very different architecture and so far we have not been able to create upgraded drivers that will work with the Action Replay hardware. The software itself runs but the hardware drivers are not compatible.
